Toggle✅ Project Objective:
Establishing a small Holstein cattle farm for dairy production and distribution.
🧭 Market Analysis:
- Dairy products are a strategic commodity that is indispensable, whether for direct consumption or for food manufacturing (cheese, butter, ghee, sweets, etc.)..
- Egypt produces around 7 million tons of milk annually and imports 2.2 million tons in powdered form.
- 80% of domestic production comes from small-scale farmers. Only about 300 large farms operate nationwide.
- Dairy collection centers gather production from small-scale farmers and distribute it. 📉 Recently, Egypt has suffered from a shortage in production due to many producers exiting the market as a result of rising feed prices. 📈 The prices of liquid milk in the market have increased by 80% compared to last year due to rising demand and limited supply.

Important information:
The average per capita dairy consumption in Egypt = 23 liters annually while the global average = 100 kg annually 🛠️ The government is currently upgrading dairy collection centers to comply with the standards of the Food Safety Authority. The number of officially certified centers is 330 The largest production is concentrated in the Delta and Lower Egypt regions. 💡 Most producers raise local or crossbred cows due to their lower cost, but they produce less than 10 kg of milk per day. Imported breeds (such as Holstein cows) produce an average of 50 kg per day, but they require higher costs and specialized care.
🌍 This has resulted in an increase in the prices of milk supply from farms as well as consumer prices, reaching approximately 100% from 2021 to 2023.
